Patient Medical
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Medical tab within a patient record in Charts provides a structured view of the patient’s health information. From here you can view, add, edit, and delete entries across multiple clinical categories.
Medical Categories
Section titled “Medical Categories”| Category | Description |

| Vital Status | Whether the patient is Living or Deceased |
| Diagnoses | Recorded diagnoses |
| Medications | Current and past medications |
| Allergies | Known allergies |
| Vitals | Vital sign measurements |
| Labs | Laboratory results |

Editing Records
Section titled “Editing Records”Most medical sections follow a consistent pattern:
- Click the three-dot menu on the card you want to update
- Select Edit
- Make your changes
- Click Save to confirm or Cancel to discard
To add a new entry to any category, click the + icon next to the section header.
Vital Status
Section titled “Vital Status”The Vital Status card shows whether the patient is Living or Deceased. Click the card’s edit control to update the status. You can also add identifiers as needed.
Deleting Records
Section titled “Deleting Records”To delete an entry, open the three-dot menu and select Delete. A confirmation prompt prevents accidental deletion.
